| 44784 | 2002-04-20 12:07:00 | I have tried to setup ICS (internet connection sharing) with win98SE and given up, installed successfully ICS for ME and then found it does not handle the Ultra satellite internet connection which is uni-directional. That is, DUN for uploads and satellite (via USA for downloads). One day.....ihug will make it bi-directional, but it talked about that 1 yr ago. any suggestions...does WINXP handle this situation?...wingate?...any proxy servers? 3 PC's (2x 400-win98SE, 1 X 1000mhz (winME)connecting to 233 Pc(winME) running ULTRA). | 44786 | 2002-04-23 06:12:00 | ICS on Win98 will not work with Ultra (been there, tried that, threw things....) The answer is a proxy. Couldn't get Wingate working and ended up using AnalogX. Very basic, easy to use, brilliant instructions and free. http://www.analogx.com |
