45046 2002-04-22 06:53:00 We are moving our business to an area of Auckland that does not have Jetstream (boohoo...) Can the Ihug Ultra service by satellite be networked? Guest (0)
45047 2002-04-22 21:44:00 I spent many hours over months trying to network Ultra but was eventually told by ihug's help desk that it did not support networking Ultra. Since then very satisfied with ihug's jet2000.
However since then I seem to remember a post in PressF1 with proxy programme that was claimed to work with Ultra. Ask ihug help desk or try searching the PressF1 database. Good luck DW

45048 2002-04-22 22:31:00 We used to have Ultra at work and we used Wingate and everyone at work was able to use the fast connection!.

Only problem is when sending big emails etc as still uploading through a modem!

45049 2002-04-22 23:19:00 if you use w2k & ics its no problem.

win98/me is a sod to network. proxy software is ment to work but (i dislike proxy anyway) i've had no luck with a ME system i got to try it on. however that might be just that system, it crashed wingate and another proxy i had tried. when win98/me networking goes bad it really does make you go bald ;-)
