| 44977 | 2002-04-22 00:05:00 | Press F1 newbie. Nearly every time I leave my computer on for about an hour with no activity it locks up with the following message on screen: ' WINDOWS: A fatal exception has occured at 0028:C14D3EC9 in VXD IDEVSD(01)+ 00000919. The current application will be terminated. etc.etc...)' The operating system is Windows 98(SE). CPU is AMD-K6 (2)451MHz with 192 Ram. I have tried uninstalling various programs on a trial and error basis. Not very scientific I know but nothing seems to alter the situation. Would appreciate any suggestions other than changing to XP! |

| 44979 | 2002-04-22 02:02:00 | There is a power saving feature turned on. Not sure how to disable that. No screen savers active. The only other thing I know active in the background in the Virus Scanner Program. (AVG) |
