| 45247 | 2002-04-23 10:12:00 | the printer will just not work . have reinstalled the driver but no result . Strangely the same thing has happened to a neighbour just across the road who suddenly have been unable to print anything and reinstalling the driver doesn't fix it It may be relevant that something happened and it wss impossible to shut the computer down Ctl-alt-del didnt work , pressing the off switch didn't work so the only solution was the turn off at the wall . Can anyone please help ??? as we areindire strife being unable to print anything. |

| 45249 | 2002-04-23 11:36:00 | Windows has a nasty tendency of not deleting some drivers when you delete them but merely disabling them. You reinstall thinking 'ah ha! this is now a fresh driver' whilst Windows has sneakily re-enabled the existing one! This may (or then again, may not)be what's happened to you. Go Start, Settings, Printers and right click your printer. Make sure 'Pause Printing' isn't ticked. |
