45160 2002-04-23 00:07:00 Hi people

Someone asked me today what they should do to get email running for three accounts on three PCs in a small network.

I use Mdaemon, and it works well, but isn't easy to configure and isn't cheap.

I suppose Wingate and three separate pop accounts would work, except they have a domain name so not sure if that can be done (I am used to all traffic going into one pop account for a domain name).

Anyone have any suggestions out there?

Regards
robo.

Out.

45163 2002-04-23 23:57:00 Hi robo, I dont have any first hand experience, but there are quite a few, including free, email server programs on the Simtel site that could be worth downloading and looking at.

www.simtel.net

Simtel is the first place I go to to find programs. The format changed somewhat for the worse about a couple of years ago or so,but it is still a good site though not so easy to find things as when they had an ftp site and searchable index.

Totally unreasonable, some people.

45165 2002-04-24 22:34:00 You can have your house built properly, under budget, and on time. Choose any two of the three.

Is basic, cheap, and works the same kind of thing?
