| 45130 | 2002-04-22 22:31:00 | I am building a machine with a Gigabyte GA-7VTXE+ Motherboard. This board has on-board sound card, that autodetects under Windows XP as AC97, although it documents that it should be Creative PCI128. The AC97 driver appears to install wihtout a problem however I get no sound out of the speakers. There appears to be nothing on Gigabytes web site about this. Can any1 shed some light on what may be going wrong. Mb : GA-7VTXE RAM : 256MB DDR Processor : Athlon 1800 OS : WIndows XP Home |

The board contains the AC97 codec and may contain the creative. If you have no midi, check, under 'multimedia' in control panel that the 'microsoft wavetable synth synth' is enabled. | Guest (0) | ||
