| 45125 | 2002-04-22 22:08:00 | Have just changed to XP, basically system is running fine with no obvious conflicts. After boot up I find that sometimes when I open IE (and expect to connect to my ISP) it opens in 'work offline' mode instead and I have to alter the setting. Also I have disabled Windows Messenger from loading on start up and from running in the background - but this too seems to be mysteriously able to alter the settings and load on start up. Has anyone else had this sort of thing? Any solutions? Cheers - Derek |

| 45126 | 2002-04-22 22:22:00 | Just had the same problem with Messenger and found this on the net to uninstall it: RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove Just copy and paste into the Run Open: line and it will do the rest. The IE problem I'm still working on. |
