45429 2002-04-24 10:48:00 When starting up in XP Home an error message appears and states that the system has recovered from a serious error and requests that Microsoft be informed. I sent the error signature file to Microsoft but the error window keeps appearing on each subsequent start up.
The details available from the window are;
BCCode:d1 BCP1:80BFFFFCn BCP2:00000002 BCP3:00000000
BCP4:B1FD1FC3 OSVer:5_1_2600 SP:0_0 Product:768_1

The following files will be included in this error report: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini042402-03.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Steve\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER2.tmp.dir00\sys data.xml

How do I get rid of this recurring error message window, or should I do something else first?

45430 2002-04-24 11:15:00 Hi Steve,
I know for XP Pro microsoft released a patch for that very error. Go to windows update (link on start/programs menu, or tools menu in internet explorer) to download it.

With any luck the patch is available for XP Home too.

If you want to disable error reporting go to: my computer/properties/advanced/error reporting.
