| 45407 | 2002-04-24 09:20:00 | The current PCI interface (32 Bit 33MHz) isn't even fast enough to keep up with Ultra 160 SCSI, so you'd need one of the new PCI interfaces (64Bit 66MHz) to plug the card into. As current PCI is limited to 130MB per second there would be no way to get 320MB per second through your shiny new SCSI 320 controller. New 64 Bit PCI slots are longer than the old type, but can still take the older 32 bit cards. I've only seen them on Compaq servers so far... |
