45347 2002-04-24 02:50:00 Is it possible to hide a user from the Welcome Screen? Or is it possible to set the computer to automatically boot up to a specific account rather than using the welcome screen?

Reason is, I have an account that's used probably 99% of the time, but occasionally I need to use the other account, so I'd prefer the main account to automatically be loaded without my having to select it from the welcome screen.

45348 2002-04-24 04:28:00 There is a way to make it so that it brings up a login type box instead of that welcome screen.

You'll find it in the Users Account applet in control panel.

Change the way users log on and off. Just uncheck that welcome screen option.

Usually this will keep the last user you logged in with. If not then there should be a registry tweak to do this.
