45307 2002-04-24 00:02:00 When I run Evidence Eliminator, I get the following error message:
'corrupt file.Unable to ascertain length of file C:\WINDOWS\WEB\WVBAC_.GIF '

Is it safe to delete this file and if so, how do I do it?
The 'help' site for EE is useless.
Also--is it safe to delete plug-ins which don't seem to be in use? Thanks.

45308 2002-04-24 02:34:00 Keith,
I would run scandisk to tidy up the filesystem before removing the file. If you have any degree of file corruption, it pays to get on top of it quickly - it won't self repair and could spread.

Regarding plug-ins - are you low on disk space? The plugins are loaded on requirement, so aren't really using up resources.

45309 2002-04-24 03:24:00 Thanks very much for your help. :O)) I ran scandisk and it shows no corrupt files, so I'll just go ahead and try deleting the thing. Guest (0)
45310 2002-04-24 03:43:00 Sorry to be a damn nuisance here. I tried running scandisk agin and it just flashes on to the screen for an instant, then disappears.
So--I tried deleting the file anyway, and got 'cannot delete file. System error (1026).
I know I'm new to this, butit just seems weird.
