| 45275 | 2002-04-23 20:12:00 | USB Camera Connection Problem We recently acquired a Vivitar digital camera and have successfully connected it to our computer, via a 1 to 4 USB adaptor, to allow download of images. Coincidentally or not, after the first several picture file downloads, we had a CD R/RW drive installed along with a further 128 MB of RAM. All of the latter done by professionals. Now, when trying to connect the digital camera, as previously as a 'removable drive', the computer crashes to a beige screen with one line of 'squares' at the top of the screen and everything seizes up. We have tried cold starting with the camera connected, and all other permutations of (camera) connection, but to no avail. Has anyone else encountered this problem - if so what is the 'fix'? |
