45383	2002-04-24 05:50:00	anyone got any ideas about a cd drive that plays audio but cannot read cd roms? windows xp Just started happening, happened to another cd drive so I swapped it, and that fixed the problem, now its back. The CD drives came from different manufacturers. I occasionally put a cd writer(from work) in its place, and this seems to be the start of the problem. HELP.	Guest (0)
45384	2002-04-24 17:22:00	Hi sean, Had a similar problem. Tried to play a movie on a cd that was in .avi format and media player took over even though I had WinDVD and Divx5 loaded. Media player would only play sound and no picture. I double clicked 'My computer' then clicked 'D drive' and right clicked the .avi file that was in there. Chose open with..., picked media player and away it went. Problem solved. Strange though. Thats the only way I can get it to work. Might be worth a try. Cheers.	Guest (0)
