| 45371 | 2002-04-24 05:18:00 | i have got msn and havent used it for ages. i opened it up and added some ppl. it waz fine. then i went to talk to some one, and as soon as i did that is said ' this program has preformed and iilegal operation' etc etc. so i upgraded to the newer version of msn hopeing that would fix it but no. any suggestions????? would i be best to uninstall and then reinstall?? reinstall windows??? who knows?? thanx, bad boy |

| 45372 | 2002-04-24 05:59:00 | I had a similar problem in MSN Messenger under Win2k. I never fixed the problem but it would say it performed an illegal operation if I left the MSN main window open while it was signing in. My alternative was to always close the window and right click on msn and send an instant message from there or reopen it after it had finished signing in. This problem has me confused but I believe it's a fault I've created with MSN and that I need to remove MSN and then reinstall it but since I don't use it on that machine much I just never bothered doing it. |
