45602 2002-04-25 06:30:00 I am helping someone fix a problem on their computer.
They had some problems and had to reinstall(windows 95)
Now the accounting program on their computer doesn't run. There is an error message saying missing file 'suutil.dll' which seems to be the problem.

What is the easiest way to find and reinstall this file.

45603 2002-04-25 12:43:00 My guess is that the missing file was inserted into the Windows folder during installation of the accounting programme (and thereby deleted when you reinstalled Windows). If they still have the installation files for that prog try looking there for it. If the installation files are inside .cab files there is a command (I think it is extract /v) for displaying their contents. If you find the file just copy it (or extract it if it is in a .cab file) to the folder with the other .dll files. You may find that after replacing that file you get a similar error message about another file - just repeat the process as often as necessary. Guest (0)

It would have made sense to include the name of the accounting program in your post as the more info you give us the better we are able to help.
