| 45526 | 2002-04-25 01:39:00 | Are the many versions of this tied specifically to a particular version of IE itself. eg Can you install Outlook Express v6 on a machine running say IE 5 or IE 4? Or do you have to install the full IE program that that comes with the particular version of Outlook Express that you want to install? In other waords are they both tied together or not? If you want one you must install the other??? Thanks from a newbie. |

| 45527 | 2002-04-25 20:36:00 | If you were to use the setup files from a CD such as PCWorld, at some point early on you should be offered the option of standard or custom install. If you took custom install that would allow you to tick only the items you wanted installed. If you ticked just OE6 and had no ticks in the other options then it should be possible to upgrade just your mail or vice versa, just your IE. Don't qoute me on this, I could be wrong as I have not tried it as such, I upgrade both IE and OE same time. |
