| 45470 | 2002-04-24 21:39:00 | I have found that when i have been using the internet (netscape6.2) and then go to shut down the computer, that occassionally it freezes, and the only way to turn it off, is by switching it off at the wall. I had the tower case checked out, and all is well. Has anyone else had similar experience? (i am also using windows XP). It was suggested that netscape may be the problem. | Guest (0) | ||

I don't know why it happens, in my case it can't be related to Netscape 6.2 because my computer runs Internet Explorer 5.5 Goodluck in resolving your problem! I will view this post again sometime soon incase there are any replies that help me to stop that happening to my computer. Craig Pointon |

The fact you were running netscape may have nothing to do with it as the computer has other programmes running in the back-ground. I upgraded to XP and my problem was drivers-2 of them. Mouse and USB port. Check all drivers--Do a system save then remove programmes until problem goes--you can always do a restore. alan |
