| 45759 | 2002-04-26 05:09:00 | Hi, Just wondering I've got two network cards both capable of handling Cat5 & Cable (Coaxal) networks. Is is possible to run a Cat5 from network card that already has a cable connection, so as to expand the network. e.g 3 computers hooked up to cabled (coaxal) network with 3rd computer also having a cat5 hookup (on same card) into either another PC or hub. Also if the above was hooked into a hub (3 pc on one Cat 5) would this pick up on other neworked PC's also hooked into the hub? It's just I've never tried to network with two different setups at the same time. Cheers gang, Daniel |

If you want to connect the two types of network together you will need to get a hub with a coaxal plug on it. Although there may be some sort of adapter for the end of coaxal cables so that you can convert to cat5...... just a few thoughts for ya. Brendon |
