45735 2002-04-26 05:03:00 On my families computer (running Windows 95)upon Windows startup, we would enter our name and a password to indentify ourselves and our preferences.

None of my family ever use sign in names anymore, nor do we have them. We have to press 'cancel' or 'x' to by-pass the window and continue into Windows.

Is there a way that I can stop that window from appearing? If so, could you please explain it in a way that a non-computer expert 14 year old can follow.

Thanks,

Craig Pointon

anyway, Click start, then settings, then double click Passwowds. in the box that comes up, click the use profiles tab. then click 'all users on this computer use the same preferences and desktop settings'. click ok and its done
