| 45698 | 2002-04-26 10:00:00 | Had the pleasure of playing with one of these the other day.Dual 1 gig Xeons 1gig of ram per processor. Wanted to trade the wife but the company wasnt goin to see it my way. These thing rock. But running win2k server which is there design function I dont think gaming and using word will enhance its potential. The unit I was installing dealt with ripping colour files for the printing industry and their old Dual dec alpha unit (albeit 500megs) was left high and dry. These are serious processors and not really for the domestic market. For the performace your looking for try amds athalons. ==orac== |
