| 45634 | 2002-04-25 10:31:00 | I put a IDE RAID card into my NT4 pentium 3 based system. It didn't like the APOEN CDrw drive and it would blue screen when run off the onboard IDE channel. I was able to make it operate as a slave drive on one of the IDE channels on the RAID card. To complicate things I run Adaptec easy CD 5; and NTI backup now on the system. I changed the CDrw for an older HP 9100 drive which worked initially on the onboard IDE, with the backup software but Direct CD told me the 'drive was being used by another process' When I tried to install an older version of Easy CD to see if this would help; NT4 thinks that the CDrw is a modem, wont install the older software and Blue screens when i try then back-up software. Funnily it still reads aok!! ?? re-install windows ?? play with the registry |
