2012-08-28 08:24:00 | Do you want wired or wireless?? If that brother uses 4 cartridges (most I've seen do), theyre expensive. If you dont go somewhere to refill them. If you want wireless you could try one of these (www.noelleeming.co.nz). Its what I brought about 3-4 weeks ago now. Good if you use something like an Ipad / iphone. Since it supports Airprint. If the firmware is updated on it (v2 was on this already). You can print to it wirelessly And it can print and scan (I've tested this, and yup it works fine) and fax I think (I havent tested this bit yet) wirelessly. Only thing it doesnt have is a card reader. Which I'm not too worried about. I use an internal card card reader

2012-08-28 08:41:00 | The Canon has a 33.6k fax as well, which the Epson doesnt have. And its cheaper by $10. The only diff maybe the Epson does duplex (thats double sided printing isnt it)?? The Canon doesnt ( I dont think it does). And the Epson uses 4 cartridges the Canon has 2 Thats one reason why I chose Canon over Brother. They use 2 cartridges instead of 4

2012-08-28 08:51:00 | Inkjets are ink drinkers. A 4 ink cartridge printer might seem more expensive to maintain but in the long-run, they may be cheaper because when you combine different colours into one cartridge not all the colors may be exhausted. More colors in the cartridge might mean better colour printing. | Nomad (952) | |
2012-08-28 08:53:00 | Thats one reason why I chose Canon over Brother. They use 2 cartridges instead of 4 Excuse my ignorance, but surely 4 is better as you only change the color that has run out ?

2012-08-28 08:58:00 | Think you will find that model Brother has 4 cartridges. Have set up 2 of them recently, not too tricky, wireless works well. | KarameaDave (15222) | |
2012-08-28 09:02:00 | Well, its up to you, if you want 4 cartridges. I just prefer 2 | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2012-08-28 22:54:00 | The Epson cartridges are $13 each and only do 380 pages. That's lame, you should be looking at models that do at least 800 minimum. The Brother is even worse.
