2012-05-04 02:48:00 | Corolla reliability is legendary but still it's 7 years older, done higher mileage, and it's more expensive.... Buy the Toyota. Never buy a car beginning with the letter M.

2012-05-04 02:56:00 | Are they recent Jap imports, 'NZ New' ?? Both these cars are suspiciously just below the magic 100000k mark . should these miles be relied on . wound back ?? Id say Corolla, isnt it a slightly bigger car ?

2012-05-04 05:57:00 | What about a mercedes? Mercedes starts with 'M' but even so I think that Mercedes would cost too much. I recently had to scrap my rusty old Ford Mazda Econonvan. When I was looking around for a replacement car, I did briefly consider a Mazda Demio but decided on a Toyota Funcargo. I think that my move from Ford Mazda to Toyota was a good one.

2012-05-04 06:30:00 | Mazda is the thinking man's Toyota. You get the same reliability and peformance, but without the premium charged for the Toyota. Like Toyotas, they are the Energizer bunnies of the automotive world. they just keep on going. When my wife's early 1980's 323 hatch finally hit the wall (rust, not mechanicals), we bought an ex-Japan basic model Demio 1.3 litre ex Pizza delivery vehicle for $5000. That was quite a few years back now and Mrs T thrashes it mercilessly (fancies herself as an F1 driver) but it just absorbs all she throws at it. I have a Mazda 6 2.3 wagon and in terms of driving pleasure the Demio is a lot more fun. It has virtually no interior trinmmings so it is light as a feather, and it goes like a rocket. I treckon the power to weight ratio is probably twice as good as my 6. Cheers Billy 8-{)

2012-05-04 07:01:00 | Cheers all. We decided on the Mazda. Red!! Good Man U colours. The one we decided on was 1 year older (2004) but only has 45K on the clock. Even at $1000 dearer was still the best of the 2 in our opinion. Here's to some happy motoring!!! | ManUFan (7602) | |
