1273008 2012-05-03 06:38:00 I do not get around nude outside. No pockets, insect bites and usually too cold for me. I have however spent some time with indigenous people in the tropics and after the first day or so nobody takes any notice. Nudity is no big deal but IMHO the vast majority (including me) look far better with their clothes on :) CliveM (6007)

1273010 2012-05-03 12:16:00 If we come to a deserted beach, we like to skinny dip, but not if there are people about.

In Europe, they have these nude beaches called FKK (not sure what that stands for). We've passed them on tracks and they look disgusting. Wouldn't be seen dead on them. And the people seem weird. But the Germans seem to like them.

I did not mean to say that I thought nudism unnatural, I was just surprised that no-one had said that they thought nakedness unnatural. Personally I can't see anything wrong with going naked.

I'm not certain that 'natural' can be used with nudism because while many people may not think it unnatural, I do think that the same people would not consider it natural, either. Somewhere in between, perhaps.

1273012 2012-05-03 22:58:00 Being nude at the beach etc is fine for the right reason (not something I would do, but it doesnt worry me seeing it), but it seems some people are doing it for the wrong reason these days which is going to ruin it for all eventually.

1273013 2012-05-05 03:18:00 It does seem to matter where you go naked. If I walked down my driveway in the nuddy I'm quite certain that someone would object and call the police. The offence would be indecent exposure although I fail to see what is indecent.

If I walked down the beach - not a popular one - the few people that saw me would most probably not complain. I wonder what the difference is? Nude is nude.

The other thing I find a bit silly is that people seem to be worried about their young children seeing naked people and feel that they need to show righteous indignation on behalf of their children. Not the sort of thing that children should see, apparently. I am quite certain that the young children would hardly notice. Young children don't know enough to be shocked or offended. Pity we can't all keep that childlike innocence.
