1297753 2012-08-29 09:39:00 Can anyone recommend a good ultrabook in the $1000-$1500 price range.

Thanks

1297754 2012-08-29 10:04:00 Most of the "decent" ultrabooks sit just outside your price range ($1600-$1800) e.g. Asus Zenbook, Lenovo Carbon-X1, Macbook Air (13"), Toshiba Z830. Depends what kind of performance you're after. icow (15313)
1297755 2012-08-29 10:32:00 Asus UX21. somebody (208)
1297756 2012-08-29 10:56:00 Haven't they been superseded by the UX31? I looked for them on pricespy and couldn't find anything. icow (15313)

UX21 is the 11" model, UX31 is the 13" model.

I think both have been superseded by more newer models with faster CPUs etc. but the UX21 is still a fantastic ultrabook.

1297759 2012-08-29 22:57:00 Ok Thanks. I quite like the zenbooks too jonovw (16835)
1297760 2012-08-30 09:05:00 I bought an Asus Zenbook (UX31), about 3 weeks ago.
I really like it

I wanted a slim laptop, with preferably an ssd, that would comfortably fit in my camera back pack. Good for travel.
Looked at equivalent Acers and Mac Air Books as well (wife has ipad - loves that:stare:).
In the end it came down to the zen book and I aint disappointed.
