1297384 2012-08-28 04:36:00 Looks like the latest version of 6 and 7 are exploitable Speedy Gonzales (78)
1297385 2012-08-28 05:04:00 The chances of being the one chosen to be hacked out of 3 billion would seem to be pretty small, like fish swimming in shoals of billions for protection when attacked by circling sharks :) Terry Porritt (14)
1297386 2012-08-28 06:30:00 Except the attack is likely automated when you innocently surf past a corrupted website, or a hijacked link sends you there.

Then again, java has been a security PITA for ages anyway, so is this really anything further to fear?

1297389 2012-08-28 10:07:00 I have indeed disabled it, this is a major threat at present, with the typical arrogant tardiness Oracle displays when issuing patches (next release in October I believe).
Shame they bought Sun, wrecked a lot of good stuff.

The next scheduled patch release is in October, Oracle seldom issue out of schedule patches, hopefully this will be an exception!
