2012-08-26 05:08:00 | Currently have a linksys wrt54g running tomato which is fine but we are well short on ports. We have 4 desktops, server, PS3, Xbox360, tv and a printer that all want to be plugged in so looking for an 8 port hub to allow for any extras. Gigabit is a must but doesn't need to be packed full of features. I'm thinking we would run it off the linksys with printer, ps3 and xbox on linksys as well. Does that work?

2012-08-26 07:18:00 | I've used these: Digitus 8 port Gb Switch (www.dove.co.nz). About $70 retail and works fine - has average specs for the price. | wuppo (41) | |

2012-08-26 09:55:00 | There's plenty if you keep your current one too, coz lets be honest you don't need to have gigabit to a PS3 ;) | Chilling_Silence (9) | |
2012-08-26 10:18:00 | www.ascent.co.nz I have used before and works well. Or this maybe an option but might be a little over the top for your needs. www.ascent.co.nz . Or www.ascent.co.nz might be a go.

2012-08-26 10:19:00 | So your saying have 2 routers? I wouldn't have a clue how to set that up. But yes only the desktops on gigabit, and maybe the printer as I do have some pretty un-ecofriendly moments with it! | hueybot3000 (3646) | |
2012-08-26 10:22:00 | Dlink options look good, would probaly go 8 port just cos. These have definitely come down in price since I last looked | hueybot3000 (3646) | |
2012-08-26 11:24:00 | I have a couple of cheap TP-Link 5 port switches myself, seem to work just fine and never had a problem with them. | dugimodo (138) | |
