1296687 2012-08-24 22:34:00 Hi,

I am having trouble getting youtube to play after opening a window/or typing in what I want,a screen comes up which used to play as requested

Of late I get a hit and miss-most times I get an error "an error has occurred please try again at a later time" N.B time not "short of such and such"
Sometimes I try double clicking the site picture and it works, most times not.

I have redownloaded and installed Adobe Flash 9--- I even had an update install a day or so ago,but that made no difference.

I assume I have a wrong setting---but if so why does it play,sometimes?-----and I am sure there is no malware or trojan etc-as I scan /housekeep every week without fail.

:help:

1296689 2012-08-25 00:45:00 Hi Wainui tech,

Sorry my typo error- yes I had and have v11-and every update available-there is nothing newer- God knows why I typed v 9.

What does not make sense is that sometimes I get normal play---I typed "choirs", "pipe organs","Handle's Messiah" "welsh Male voice choir"--etc., as a crossection of what I listen to,and watch-if you care to try ---it would be gratifying if it happened to you, as it would be a site fault ;-)-----I doubt it will be the site,as I suspect it is a setting in my computer.

The site specifies Adobe Flash as being the only program to use

1296690 2012-08-25 04:56:00 Hi Wainuitech,
I have just received the followig site from a mate, which appears to have done the job--

www.forums.adobe.co/thread10180171?start

and it appears to have done the job- if it fails again the same mate sent another address defining the same problem, and I will take it from there
Thank you for your help

1296692 2012-08-25 06:03:00 Hi Smithie,

I have installed Real Player ( I thought I already had it )---it had been downloaded but not installed-come to think of it in Outlook Express I had the same error, -----so it may not be Adobe Flash at all ) but in the install of Real, I was told to " uncheck "enable web download for these installed browsers" which shows in a drop down top left of installation program, and now I am getting quick action when I click on the program I am after.
now I have no problems- so thanks for your private e mail, and Wainui's
