1272968 2012-04-30 21:09:00 Spoiler?! I got the story on the first two trailers.

They don't have to watch them. I thought the third was great, sure hasn't put me off watching the movie when it arrives.

1272970 2012-04-30 22:33:00 Watching any trailer or reading anything about a movie is a spoiler, unless you pick a random movie you've never heard of chances are pretty high you have some idea of the story you are about to watch. How else do we know if we want to see something without some kind of spoiler though?

What bugs me isn't spoilers so much as trailers that cut scenes together in a way that is totally misleading and makes a movie seem different than it actually is.
Also how many comedy movies have you seen where the funniest bits were in the trailer?

I'd say giving away the ending is the worst thing, but when I think about it hardly ever is the end a total surprise. I'm guessing the good guys win and humanity survives, maybe a few characters die along the way. And all I've seen is the original teaser trailer.

1272971 2012-04-30 22:37:00 There have been a couple of cases where footage was filmed just for the trailer, never existed in the film itself.

Has to be self-defeating.
