| 45911 | 2002-04-27 14:04:00 | Having problems on one of my networked computers. When using net send from cmd.exe, the following error appears: An error ocurred while sending a message to %computername% The message alias could not be found on the network. Message no. is 2273. ping command works fine. messages work fine the other way. substituting the IP address for comp name makes no diff. Any ideas? G P |

I reinstalled all network cards, ran all setup disks for the network a couple of times, but still couldn't work it out. I thought I tried disabling firewall etc and din't work, but I musn't have because when I went and checked it's options, it was denying any traffic other than to my shared directories. Add in other network traffic and bingo! it works. Oh well. G P |
