| 45917 | 2002-04-27 12:46:00 | I am having trouble installing american greetings cretacard silver5 have got a compaq presario 2230 it took 10 hours to load it to 23 per cent of the programe and now i cant delete the files it comes up unable to locate the installation log file and says uninstallation will not continue cant find where the file is at all have changed my colour settings to 16 like it said and screen size to 800x600i have 1.00gb free space left in drive c and 981.14mb used space am having trouble operating my disk drive cant get it to do anything wont even read the disk thats already in there | Guest (0) | ||
| 45918 | 2002-04-27 18:39:00 | First of all, before anyone can help you, repost with your queries in an orderly fashion, with commas, fullstops etc. I can't believe you waited 10 hours for an installation. It may be best to get a computer software technician to help you - not the usual computer expert friend, but a pro (in other words, you have to pay). Your system seems to have some real problems. |

| 45919 | 2002-04-27 22:43:00 | Hello Leanne, goodness! the compaq 2230 was my very first computer, I thought I was the only one who ever owned one. Leanne, it might pay you to check the stats of the programe you are trying to load, it may well be too big for your computer. Unless you have upgraded it, it only has 2gb HD, 133mhzcpu and 16mb Ram. The 2230 is a great little training computer, but could be quite limited for some of the programs around to day. good luck, Bob |

| 45922 | 2002-04-29 02:31:00 | Hello Leanne, Glad to help, if I may just add, the 2230 has quite limited upgrading abilities also, the max. amount of ram or memory you can put in is 64mb because the cpu is only 133mhz this also can cause problems, with some programs. In saying that, I've had loaded, a printer, scanner, microsoft word, publisher, card making programs and the internet, amoungst others and while it got a bit slow, it handled everything beautifully considering. good luck, Bob |
