| 45900 | 2002-04-27 10:23:00 | Hi there A friend has contacted me saying her keyboard g,h,j keys do not operate. This happened after she clicked on an attachment with the subject something along the lines of 'This is what happens when you spill stuff on your keybaord'... I have not been able to find any reference on the web to it at all, she uses Nortons, and nothing was detected. She has deleted the original email so I can't take a look at the attachment. Any ideas? Cheers, J. |

It might be a TSR program or a program that has a way of loading itself. I would check all the places where this program could be loaded from. Startup folder, Autoexec.bat, Win.ini, registry and services and remove those entries then remove the offending program. |

I have searched through several virus databases, used keywords to do with spilt liquid on keyboard, ghj, and so on - but so far have had no luck. I also believe that it is a 'joke' program, but as it remains running after a few re-boots, must be in the start up group somewhere. She is not confident with messing with ms config so it looks like it is a trip to Hamilton for me :-S Thanks again J. |
