| 45882 | 2002-04-27 08:21:00 | I've installed a no-name brand monitor after my Gateway unit packed a sad, but the default drivers from Win 98 (1st ed) don't allow me to change or even view my refresh rate. It appears to be as low as about 65. My vid card's old option under properties to change the refresh is no longer there. Can anyone recommend a good generic driver, please? |

Vid card is a Diamond Viper v550, with an nVidia chip - I have latest drivers for both, but neither make any diffs to what the display properties' options allow, ie still no ability to change the refresh rate. Even the option to change from Default to Optimum is gone. |
