45815 2002-04-26 12:14:00 As of late my VoiceCard 56 Pro V1456VQH-R modem hangs after half an hour or so of surfing.
I'm unable to disconnect from my ISP without shutting the whole system down.
Having shutted down, I then have to wait some time before restarting my OS for my modem to be detected again.
Haven't installed any new software that i know of.
Any help would be appreciated.
OS: Win95b, PII, 288Mb Ram

45816 2002-04-26 23:40:00 Sounds like you have the wrong modem driver. Is there a later driver you can download from the internet.
Good luck

45817 2002-04-27 06:02:00 I reckon the ISPs do something to their gear that isn't compatible with our hardware because that happened to me quite a while ago.

It still happens sometimes, although not quite as much since I changed to another phone number recommended by my ISP. Updating the modem drivers didn't seem to make a difference but it wouldn't hurt to do it.

45818 2002-04-27 08:45:00 If you have access to responsive support for your modem try an enquiry there. I had an intermittant problem with my Dynalink last year where Windows would suddenly refuse to recognise it for a while. Dynalink support gave me an accessory command to enter in modem setup and the problem disappeared. Guest (0)
