| 45788 | 2002-04-26 09:48:00 | 14 Television sets don't have cookies, they have mindless viewers that have their televisions wired up with meters to record what program they watch, they would not know what a life is if they fell over it, most people with a life would not be seen dead watching most of the programs on the top 20 list. 13. You don't need any brains to sit in front of a television also you don't need brains to have your set wired up with a meter either. 12. You can fall a sleep in front of the television and you don't get disconnected by TV1, TV2, TV3 or TV4 as it all crap and today's stressful life to pay the rent you need a good rest 11. Jokes on the web don't have canned laughter, so you don't know when to laugh. 10. It doesn't take minutes to build the picture when you change TV channels. 9. When was the last time you tuned in to 'Friends' and got a 'Not Found 404' message?, mind you 'Friends' is a 404 program. 8. There are fewer grating colour schemes on TV -- even on TV4. 7. The family never argues over which Web site to visit this evening, as good web sites never go away they just get better. 6. A remote control has fewer buttons than a keyboard. 5. Even the worst TV shows never excuse themselves with an 'Under Construction' sign, mind you it would increase the ratings if they did. 4. 'Mitre 10 DIY' never slows down when a lot of people tune in. 3. You just can't find those cool 'Moccona Coffee' commercials on the Web, and nobody would television if they did. 2. The advertisements on the web are pathetic made by some junior programmer, where as the advertisements on television are better than the television programs. ...and the number 1 reason TV is better than the Web: 1. You can't surf the Web from the couch with a beer in one hand and a bag of chippies in the other, finding out the more drank you get the better the program. |
