My mouse pointer seems to move very quickly from one side to the other and clicking randomly with out any input from me. I have the latest Virus Definitions for NAV and done a full check. Right now i have my mouse open and im playing around with all the parts. I have a Qtronix LY99P mouse and im running Win ME. Please Help!

If so, there is a possibility that someone may have installed a joke program that does things like that to your mouse.

45998 2002-04-28 09:59:00 Mice die. Erratic behaviour can mean a little switch has worn out or the cable's broken.

If you've eliminated the other possiblities - try a new mouse.

45999 2002-04-29 02:19:00 I have had the same problem many times before. the problem is one of two.

1. Your mouse or mouse cable has died.

2. The port in which you plug your mouse into is stuffed.

To find out what it is, get a new mouse and install it. if you the mouse start working fine the your old mouse had died. If your mouse is still playing up, then you will need to get a new port.

I will be getting a new mouse, a WIRE-LESS mouse (i found out the cable had been torn on the desk).
