(some late releases of '95 did have USB support, but it frequently doesn't work). On my older computers, I just run win98se which I then speed up by using 98lite - a program which keeps the 98 OS, while stripping the browser integration from it - making it as fast as 95. It's available from www.98lite.net (NOT www.98lite.com) and is easy to use - just run the program on a 98 installation and it'll basically turn a lot of the 98 settings into options. I think it's US$25 at the moment, but well worth it in my book, and they used to have a free version up as well (not sure what the differences are) |

Win98se does support usb but I found to be top heavy with add ons. WinME is also good even though it has it critics who rubbish it as being buggy. WinME though does like a clean install rather than a upgrade I have found. If you are using a older slower system I would stick with 95, something newer, your choice between 98se and ME, both should serve you well. | Guest (0) | ||
