| 46257 | 2002-04-29 04:52:00 | When I start the computer up it goes through the memory check etc and the background colour changes as though its ready to launch windows then a box shows reading REGISTRY PROBLEM. In the box it reads 'Restore from Backup and Restart'. However if you click on the box it does not respond, the only thing that works is CTL / ALT / DEL Also I have the windows disc but do not have a back up disc. Can anybody help? |

You will be given the opportunity to restore any of up to 5 previous backups of the Registry. If you are running Win95, then there is a DOS method of restoring files called system.da0 and user.da0, post back for info. If ME or XP, then someone else will be able to answer, I'm sure. Cheers |
