(unable to open cd rom draw) 2: Monitor remains blank 3: Power light on monitor flashes as it does in standby mode (screen Blank) 4: There are no beeps from the speaker System is Pentium 166 |

| 46161 | 2002-04-29 01:29:00 | It's back to basics. Power supply probably ok if cd spins. Video card could be bung, check connections, and check card fully inserted, replace with another one if connections ok. Remove and reinsert ram, incase there is a bad connection. Leave cd disconnected, incase it is causing the problem. Post back if none of this helps. |

| 46162 | 2002-04-29 01:49:00 | I have had similar problems with my machine. it is also a pentium 166 (AMD something actually) with 64 MB RAM. I find it does it more often when I reboot. The only way I solve the problem is to power completly off and wait a minute or so then power back on again. It doesn't always happen first pop. but I get it going eventually | Guest (0) | ||
