| 46351 | 2002-04-29 10:44:00 | I have a problem with this scanner, i have checked the cables, removed the drivers and software and reinstalled and when i attempt to scan i get some noise from the scanner the lights flick on for a few seconds and then an error box pops up and provides the ever useful Canon Error Code of 0x10ff0800, can any one tell me what this refers to and if possible how to fix it? Thanks |

'PROBLEM: ERROR MESSAGE IN CANOCRAFT : 'OTHER ERROR 0X10FF0800' SOLUTION: Ensure that the scanner head is not locked and that the printer port mode is set to ECP in the BIOS. Please refer to your PC support for assistance on how to do this. The default memory allocation for the port may have to be changed because the particular memory address may be being utilized by another device or program e.g. TSR Programs (which can include mouse drivers). In the BIOS set-up of the PC there are usually three memory address options to choose from, the address that works is usually found by trial and error.' |
