46425 2002-04-30 01:38:00 MS WinXP Pro Ver 2002 if you are all wondering what it is. He's correct in saying it either way it's not confusing you guys is it?

WinXP Pro can be installed on a blank drive booting from the CD. If the drive isn't blank I think in the setup you can partition destroy the partition completely format over it. Or you can boot to DOS with CD support and try the setup.exe file. If that does work browse into I386 directory and look for a similar type of .exe file. I am not sure which one it would be but I am sure you can do it from DOS just the same way as it's done in Win2k.

46426 2002-04-30 07:17:00 If it's anything like W2k, I've found the best way is to first make the Start Up discs(Normally about 4, 3.5 Floppies - found in the Bootdisk directory on the CD).When discs are made, turn off computer, insert Disk One in the drive then start the computer.
Instructions should start up showing what to do next.
Good luck.
