| 46363 | 2002-04-29 11:34:00 | Well, too bad you're using wrong OS/Browser combination. Nothing is chasing me with Mozilla on Red Hat 7.2 ;o) |

| 46364 | 2002-04-29 11:42:00 | If I get a vote for every time I have seen it over the two times it is supposed to show, I get 12 or so. G P |

| 46367 | 2002-04-29 12:53:00 | I thought it was quite cool to begin with. But soon got annoying. I've seen a similer thing where it is a text clock that floats around. I'll post a link later/ JM |

| 46371 | 2002-04-29 21:04:00 | PC World is shooting itself in the foot. There are other excellent sites without the annoying advertising going on with this one. Remember the web didnt start with commercialisation and advertising. The web would still be here if all ads were removed overnight. Do they think that Press F1 attracts visitors who will then go and buy the mag, or is it the other way round, mag buyers come to F1? Either way annoying advertising is not going generate new customers. One of my favourite specialised jazz sites is vast, run by one man is his spare time, has an excellent forum, and advertising is minimal. No use bleating Mark Evans, people will use add blockers and the like. Here's mine: 0click.exe to kill Doubleclick, AdIeFiltr.exe to kill popups and banners. If Press F1 cant be run without advertising, el tougho, there are plenty of other information sites. Is that coming over strong? :) |
