46626 2002-05-01 06:48:00 In Hotmail- When I am composing an email and have saved it in Draft form only the Address appears in the Draft Folder. The text is not saved.
Any bright ideas please?

46627 2002-05-01 07:23:00 Just tried it without problem. I simply typed email, clicked on 'save draft', then clicked on draft folder, clicked on email to reopen and carried on.
Admittedly I don't normally use web email (unless at work) as it takes too long to open. I configured Outlook Express to check my hotmail account as well which is a lot easier to check and compose emails.

46628 2002-05-01 10:25:00 Peter, I've had the exact same problem from time to time and I dont know why either. I've also had the problem in hotmail where I'm typing some long-assed email and suddenly it just disappears. Such is the unreliability of Microsoft. I've overcome the problem by typing all of my emails in notepad and saving them until they are finished and then just copy and pasting into hotmail. This way I dont have to rely on Microsoft for reliability and you can save the draft until it's finished. And if your ISP is going to have an outage, you can be sure it will happen when you are just about finished your email....but not quite, and once again, you lose it all. With notepad, no problems at all. Guest (0)
46629 2002-05-04 10:01:00 Hi sam, thanks for your reply.

In the past I used to be able to save 'drafts' just as you describe, but now this option is not functioning.

Mebe losing the 'draft option' is one of the 'upgrades' which are unwitingly sent to us?

Peter.

46630 2002-05-04 10:06:00 Hi Alan G

Thanks for your reply.

In the past I have been able to save emails in draft form. It's a mystery why I am unable to now.

I like your idea of using Notepad. Where will I find it? Will I even have it?

Peter.
