46814 2002-05-02 10:08:00 My question is: How do you get rid of Java Script Errors. My windows product update doesn't work nor do some websites that I go to
becasue of this particular error.

I have the latest browser IE6 - if you look at the advanced settings in internet options and go down to Microsoft VM, I have the bottom two enabled, but I have not enabled java console. I also tried closing all current running applications and it still hasn't fixed the problem.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

thank you

46815 2002-05-02 11:02:00 Could you provide some example error messages?

It sounds like the problem you are describing is on the particular webpages.

46816 2002-05-02 15:47:00 Morning James,

With the java script errors that you are decribing sounds like your permissions in the security tab are set to high.

From the Tools menu goto Internet Options > Security.
Under the web content window click onto Internet and choose default level (whitch should set the security bar to medium).

Also if you have a firewall you may have it set to disable scripts. If the aboove trick does not work, prove out from being your firewall, by shutting in down, and re-trying to connect. How does that go?

I set my web content to medium and, I didn't exactly understand the second paragraph, but I disabled my firewall and all running programs and nothingworks!
