46784 2002-05-02 08:15:00 I am having difficulties understanding how my router works. I gave it a test at GRC and it reported back closed ports and stealthed ports. I would like to make it stealth all the ports if it's possible.

The modem is a Dynalink ADSL Ethernet Router RTA020.

I've read through the manual but still can't figure out what to do without blocking myself.

46785 2002-05-02 08:58:00 Looking at the spec sheets for your router, it performs NAT. If you have not mapped any ports onto a computer on your internal network then your system is secure from external connections. It may however respond to ICMP packets (pings), in which case it wont be invisible on the net. If you take this question to the NZADSL mailing list you may get a more specific answer from someone who owns one and knows more about it's configuration. Guest (0)
