46922 2002-05-03 05:44:00 I am able to send emails overseas and they are received but the replies never make it my inbox.

my incoming mail is (pop3) pop.ihug.co.nz but this changes on its own after i go off line and in its place is localhost and i have changed it many times but it always changes back to localhost. When i first fire up the email sight for ihug i get the following messages.'unable to logon to the server using secure password authorisation account pop.ihug.co.nz server localhost protocol pop3 server response ERR port 110 sevure 9SSL0 no server error 0x800ccc90 error number 0800ccc18' followed by this 'Your server unexpectedly terminated the connection possinble cause for this server problems or period of innactivey account pop.ihug.co.nz server localhost protocol pop3 port 110 no error number 0x800ccc of' I have sked ihug for help but the advice has not fixed problem can anyone help please and if so pse not the email address i now use is 'donbuckle@hotmail.com
I am using a pc company computer limited edition 1.3 with windows xp

I would appreciate any help so that i can receive emails in the pop.ihug.co.nz as ihug is my server. Thanking you in acticipation

change your incoming server to pop3.ihug.co.nz

that should do it....

46924 2002-05-03 22:19:00 Your virus software is set to mail scan and this is why the incoming mail server address changes and it also adds more to the account name field.
Under the servers tab set incoming mail server to: pop.ihug.co.nz (pop3 is incorrect)
Change account name to just your username nothing else.
Make sure you do not have Log on using secure password ticked and click Apply and OK

You should now be able to download your mail but if it fails again after restarting your computer you will need to disable mail scan in your virus program.as it is obviously not working and reset your incoming mail server and account name as above.

In PC Cillin select Options/Mail scan and remove tick from Start POP3 scan
In Norton go to Options/Email protection or Options/Email depending on the version.
