| 47166 | 2002-05-05 02:42:00 | On my (Windows 98) PC all the files listed in an 'open' or 'save as' file browser window are sorted by date instead of by type (or name). I am not talking about Windows Explorer, I am talking about the file browser thing that most programs have for opening or saving files. To see what I mean, in Notepad, select File -> Open, and one will pop up. I can sort the files by right-clicking and selecting Arrange Icons -> by Type, but they always go back to being sorted by date next time! How do I make sorting by type the default again? Presumably there is some setting in the registry somewhere that needs to be changed? |
