| 47284 | 2002-05-05 12:43:00 | I run both Win me and mandrake Linux 8.1 on one of my systems, the dual boot utility that was installed by default when I setup mandrake 8.1 (Nothing fancy like boot magic). I want to change the default boot setting to boot windows, instead of mandrake 8.1. I use windows 80% of the time and it has become a real pain in the neck to wait until the boot screen appears, and then select windows (3 sec timer). I have had a look around the help files and general settings in mandrake 8.1, however have had no luck. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Liam |

Edit the /etc/lilo changing the line where default=<name of label> If it's Grub I would assume it's in the /etc directory but you'll have to look for it as I use lilo. |
