Some people complain that WinME is unstable and is buggy, just as many people have problems with 98SE. I had problems with 98SE but with ME, no problems at all. Others seem to have problems with ME. |

I am now running WinXP Pro and have not gone back to Win2k. I did before with any new OS just released but they all get better over time. I know with WinME and all the complaints and problems. This was a judgement made on it's release but it's improved and is ok. I had problems with it hogging all my memory in the beginning and that's when I flamed it but I take that back now as I've seen it's improved in that area. |

| 47186 | 2002-05-05 03:51:00 | and someone accused me of not useing full stops.....geeee...lol if you don't play much in the way of games them i would go for windows 2000(w2k) or XP. but if you have a lot of old hardware them go with win98se as drivers are easier get. as far as computer parts go the biggest thing to keep in mind is what you use it for and your budget. depending on what motherboard you have a simple upgrade could be to a p3 processor and another 128 of ram. |

I started with Win 95 which I had no MAJOR problems with and am now running Win ME and am quite happy with it. The answer is you pays your money and takes your choice! PP |
