1274684 2012-05-11 14:16:00 Uh ------- the current cover on TIME Magazine . . nj . com/parenting_impact/photo/10999488-large . jpg" target="_blank">media . nj . com

TIME Magazine put a woman breastfeeding her three-year-old on its cover .

I've got mixed emotions right now - but it's before first coffee this morning, and my thoughts aren't as clear as they might be later on today .

Still --- it's kinda odd though .

1274685 2012-05-11 21:52:00 I don't so much have a issue with the concept of longer term breast feeding.

But I think the image chosen by time is deliberately sexualised. If could have been prtrayed much better.

1274686 2012-05-11 22:34:00 Saw this on the BBC, why didn't she whip out the other one would have sold even more copies?

Apart from that, it's a womens right to do what she feels is the right thing for her children so long as it's doesn't involve killing or torture

1274687 2012-05-11 23:14:00 So she's weird. The kid probably gets teased. No need to plaster it all over magazines. And they way she feeds the kid is kind off, well the pic is.... pctek (84)
1274688 2012-05-11 23:44:00 If they were trying to draw attention to a cause, they've succeeded admirably.

If we all did the same things we would all still be hitting each other with rocks and sleeping in caves.

1274689 2012-05-12 05:26:00 It seems that times, and women, are changing, and not just nappies (diapers to you Joe!) either.

When I were a lad, the female's "dream" was to have a handsome man arrive on a white charger and transport them to a better place. It seems that toady, in the case of so called "Millennium Mums", a man and a charger are still involved but this time the charger is for a mobile phone! (Actually, it occurs to me that if you are an MM you might not know what a "white charger" is/was!) (and how many of you thought the charger I was talking about was for something else again?)

1274692 2012-05-13 05:00:00 ...................we would all still be hitting each other with rocks and sleeping in caves.

We are.
Just the rocks and caves have become fancier and a bit more complex.
